Enhance your visit to the Texas Hill Country with a stay at our historic and romantic Storyville Bed & Breakfast.  This family-owned and personally restored B&B has been a home away from home since 1996.

Comfort Storyville is a Victorian Cottage and Historical Landmark located in the middle of the historical district of Comfort.   The house was known as the Ludwig Hein House.  Ludwig Hein came to Texas from Gernany in 1877 and built this house for his family before 1900.  The house was known as the "nerve center" of Comfort when the local telephone switchboard was housed here from 1923 to 1955.  Original features of the Victorian house include its front bay window and bracketed porch supports.

Adding to the Texas quaintness is the swing on the front porch and a rambling backyard with  tables and chairs and another swing.  The interiors have been lovingly restored with architectural details such as crown molding, wainscoting, orginal beaded board high ceilings and walls.  Relax in our intimate living room with an antique fireplace.  The bedroom and living room are decorated with Texas and southern antiques from the period.  Though furnished with antiques, the B&B is complemented by modern conveniences such as satellite TV, free wireless internet service and a refrigerator.  We provide guest vouchers for breakfast at High's Cafe so you can experience the dining heart of the town.  Comfort Storyville has been featured in Lone Star Living (Texas Homes & Ranches) by Tyler Beard (Bulfinch Press), Country Home - Quick Country Decorating (Meredith Books) and Country Almanac in Summer 2008.  It also appeared in the August 1999 issue of Country Home.

It is an easy walk around to downtown shopping - antique shops, markets and dining.  The entire town of Comfort is registered as a National Historic District.
